I have 20 years of experience in the art of luthiery, performing set up, service, and repair work on a wide variety of stringed instruments including new, vintage collectible, and road worn workhorses. I enjoy the challenge of repair and restoration work and the creative problem-solving that goes along with it.
Each case is different and it’s impossible to diagnose an instrument without seeing it. I never charge an inspection fee.
Because part of playing well means having a guitar that’s properly maintained we offer quality set up and repair services. Too many times we see musicians playing guitars that they’re left fighting against in order to fret notes properly or it just never sounds right no matter the amount of tuning. It’s a sure way to make a new player frustrated and potentially think guitar is just too difficult. Playing cleanly and efficiently takes some work but your guitar shouldn’t make it more challenging.
