Before sitting down for your first lesson we prefer to meet each prospective student for a brief 30-45 minute session where we can find out about your personal goals, expectations, what types of music you like, and what is it about music that inspires you. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This process ensures that we will be a good fit and also that you’ll be getting the most out of your very first lesson because it will be tailored to you!
How to start?
Lesson length?
When we begin we’ll typically meet once a week for 45 minutes. 30 minute sessions for the little learners based on their retention and progression levels. You’ll find when we get through each facet of the lesson that an hour really does fly by. Also, one session per week is really the best way to allow new concepts to set in and become committed to memory. Anything more frequent tends to cause more harm than good.
Instruction hours?
Our hours are as follows:
Monday-Thursday: 10am-9pm
Friday: 10am-2pm (Limited to service and repair appointments)
On a quarterly basis there will be weekends available for ensemble performance and improvisation sessions open to all students of any level. This is a fun way for students to play with other musicians and try out what they’ve learned or created in a safe, low pressure setting.
We accept
At this time we accept payment by cash and all major credit cards through Square. Sorry, I do not accept personal checks as a rule. Payment is due at the time of each lesson or you may consider an option most of my students really prefer and purchase lessons in blocks of 4 or more to avoid the extra hassle.
